My homeroom students and I have a "bake off" every Wednesday. This means, every Wednesday, one of the kids and I bring in the same baked good and chow down and then vote on whose was better. I haven't really been doing too well with this...somehow these kids can bake! (It's really a no lose situation though because I still get to eat the treats!) This week I had to bake a cake. I didn't get to do it for Wednesday because I was sick so I made it for yesterday (Thursday). Well, I decided to make a marathon cake. I made it double layer (my first ever) and had a ball with the frosting and food coloring! Take a look....oh yeah-that's me winning the Boston Marathon (with the body of a Kenyan).

Ummm, that cake looks freaking amazing. I kind of want a slice...
Too bad you're not voting on creativity, because that is one elaborately done up cake!
